Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Tech Mahindra and UKG have announced an expanded strategic partnership aimed at helping global enterprises modernize workforce operations through artificial intelligence-driven solutions and advanced workforce management technology.

The collaboration is expected to focus heavily on small and mid-sized organizations across North America, particularly in industries such as information technology, retail, manufacturing, and professional services. As labor markets continue to evolve and companies face mounting pressure to improve productivity while managing workforce challenges, both firms say the partnership is designed to provide businesses with greater operational flexibility and stronger workforce efficiency.

As part of the agreement, Tech Mahindra will deploy the UKG Workforce Operating Platform internally for its own workforce while also significantly expanding its UKG-related services practice. The company plans to support enterprises through implementation, integration, and ongoing operational support tied to the platform, with an emphasis on growing demand for AI-powered workforce technologies.

The move reflects a broader shift taking place across the global technology and business services sector, where organizations are increasingly turning toward automation, predictive analytics, and AI-based workforce tools to manage hiring, payroll, employee scheduling, and talent development more effectively.

Tech Mahindra, which operates in more than 90 countries, said the partnership will strengthen its ability to provide end-to-end workforce transformation services to enterprise customers. The UKG platform itself is built around large-scale workforce data systems and AI-powered analytics intended to help organizations optimize frontline operations and improve overall business performance.

Company leaders described the alliance as an effort to create more adaptive and resilient workplace environments while helping organizations navigate increasingly complex labor conditions.

Sumit Kumar Popli emphasized the importance of intelligent workforce systems in today’s rapidly changing business landscape.

“As organizations navigate increasingly dynamic workforce environments, they need intelligent and scalable solutions that improve agility, enhance employee experiences, and drive stronger business outcomes. Our partnership with UKG brings together deep transformation expertise and advanced workforce innovation to help enterprises address frontline workforce challenges with greater confidence. By expanding our UKG practice, we aim to help enterprises accelerate their adoption of the UKG platform through seamless implementation and integration. At the same time, we are deploying UKG within our own organization to lead by example and drive meaningful workforce transformation at scale.”

Tech Mahindra also indicated that it intends to use the partnership to improve hire-to-retire processes across organizations while increasing platform adoption rates and measurable returns for customers. Future plans tied to the collaboration include expanding the use of UKG’s AI capabilities in recruiting, onboarding, payroll accuracy, talent mobility, and employee wellness management.

The companies say AI-powered automation and workforce intelligence tools are becoming increasingly important as businesses attempt to reduce operational inefficiencies and improve employee engagement at the same time.

Jay Dettling said the expanded relationship builds on years of collaboration between the two firms.

“We are excited to deepen our partnership with Tech Mahindra, a globally respected technology consultancy with proven enterprise delivery expertise. Tech Mahindra’s decision to both grow its UKG services capabilities and deploy our Workforce Operating Platform builds on our global momentum and growth strategy. Together, we will help organizations better support their frontline employees while driving operational excellence.”

The partnership between the two companies dates back nearly a decade and has largely centered on enterprise service and support operations. With the expanded agreement, both organizations are positioning themselves to address rising enterprise demand for workforce modernization initiatives that combine consulting expertise with AI-enabled workforce technologies.

Industry analysts have increasingly pointed to workforce management as one of the fastest-evolving segments within enterprise software, especially as organizations continue adapting to hybrid work models, labor shortages, compliance pressures, and changing employee expectations.

By combining UKG’s workforce management technology with Tech Mahindra’s global consulting network and delivery infrastructure, the companies aim to help businesses modernize operations more efficiently while improving workforce visibility and long-term organizational performance.
