Boca Raton, Florida – An 18-year-old Delray Beach woman is facing multiple felony charges following a late-night altercation outside a Boca Raton movie theater parking lot that police say escalated into physical violence inside a parked vehicle.

Authorities arrested Nicola Nosek, 18, shortly after 1:25 a.m. on Thursday at the Cinemark theater on Airport Road in the City of Boca Raton. Police say the incident involved Nosek and her juvenile ex-girlfriend, and began as a verbal dispute before turning physical.

According to a police report filed later that night, officers responded to reports of a disturbance at the theater parking lot. The juvenile victim told investigators she had just exited the theater and entered a friend’s white Acura sedan when Nosek allegedly approached the vehicle. A verbal argument reportedly started almost immediately.

The situation quickly escalated. The victim alleged that Nosek stopped her from closing the driver’s door, then entered the vehicle herself. Once inside, she allegedly struck the victim multiple times with a closed fist, hitting her in the upper lip and left ear.

The allegations continued to grow more serious inside the car. The victim told police that Nosek then placed both hands around her neck and squeezed, restricting her breathing to the point where she nearly lost consciousness. After the alleged assault, Nosek reportedly threw a phone at the victim before leaving the immediate scene.

Officers said they observed visible injuries on the victim, including bleeding, consistent with the account provided in the report. Witnesses at the scene also told police they saw parts of the confrontation unfold inside the vehicle. One witness said they had to physically intervene to separate the individuals after seeing the fight escalate. Another witness reported seeing Nosek jump onto the hood of the car in an attempt to reach the victim again.

Based on the investigation, Nosek was charged with felony battery by domestic strangulation, simple battery, and burglary of an occupied conveyance with intent to commit a battery. Police records show she refused to provide a statement after being read her rights.

Officials also confirmed that the victim’s identity, along with witness names, will not be released due to protections under Marsy’s Law and policies related to juvenile victims of domestic violence cases.

Following her arrest, Nosek was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail. Court records show she is being held on a combined bond of $20,000 for the three charges.

As the case moves forward, investigators have not released additional details about what led to the argument before the alleged confrontation. For now, authorities say the evidence gathered at the scene, along with witness accounts, form the basis of the charges filed in what began as a parking lot dispute but quickly escalated into a serious criminal case.
