City of Fort Lauderdale prepares to launch a new and improved website on June 1 designed to enhance access to public services and information for residents and visitors
Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Residents, businesses, and visitors in Fort Lauderdale will soon see a major digital change as the city prepares to launch a redesigned website on June 1. The update is aimed at making it easier for users to find information, navigate city services, and access key resources in a more streamlined way.
The City of Fort Lauderdale announced that the new website is part of a broader effort to improve digital communication and simplify how the public interacts with city departments. Officials say the updated platform will offer a cleaner structure and improved accessibility, helping users locate what they need with fewer steps.
However, the transition will also bring some temporary disruption. As the new site goes live, several existing webpage addresses will change. That means residents who rely on saved bookmarks, QR codes, Bitly links, or older printed materials may find that some links no longer work after June 1.
City officials are encouraging users to be aware of this change and to prepare for possible broken links during the transition period. The update is expected to affect a wide range of online pages, from general information to service-specific resources.
To help manage the shift, the city has set up support for users who run into problems. Anyone who cannot locate a page or encounters a broken link is advised to contact the city’s communications team directly.
If issues arise, residents can reach the Strategic Communications team at [email protected], where staff will assist in locating missing information or correcting broken links as quickly as possible.
The city emphasized that the upgrade is part of a long-term effort to modernize its digital services and improve user experience across all online platforms. While short-term inconvenience is expected, officials say the goal is to create a more efficient and user-friendly system once the transition is complete.
“We appreciate your patience as we complete this important upgrade to better serve our community,” the city said in its announcement.
As the launch date approaches, residents are encouraged to use the current website as needed but remain mindful that some pages may shift or become temporarily unavailable. City staff are expected to continue working behind the scenes to ensure a smooth transition once the new system goes live on June 1.
