Broward County School Board votes to approve salary increases for seven additional employee groups, strengthening its commitment to staff compensation for the 2024/25 school year

Broward County, Florida – In a significant move to strengthen its workforce, the Broward County School Board recently approved salary increases for seven key employee groups for the 2024/25 school year. This decision, which was made unanimously by the board, includes an average 3% increase in base salaries for eligible employees, effective retroactively to July 1, 2024.

The salary increases will benefit a variety of employee groups across the district, including members of the Broward Teachers Union – Educational Support Professionals (BTU-ESP), Broward Teachers Union – Technical Support Personnel (BTU-TSP), the Confidential Office Personnel Association (COPA), and the Police Benevolent Association (PBA). Additionally, employees in the Federation of Public Employees (FOPE) Food and Nutrition Services (FNS), FOPE Clerical, and FOPE 4, which represents maintenance, facilities, transportation, and security/campus monitors, will also see the increase.
