Florida – Fishing enthusiasts across Florida are in for a treat as the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) hosts a license-free freshwater fishing weekend on April 5 and 6. This special event allows both residents and visitors to experience Florida’s abundant freshwater fishing opportunities without needing a fishing license.

Whether you prefer casting your line from the shore, a dock, or a boat, Florida offers countless spots to enjoy a peaceful day on the water. Anglers of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to take part, making it a perfect weekend for families, friends, and solo adventurers alike. However, while fishing licenses won’t be required, all other regulations—including bag limits, size limits, and seasonal restrictions—will still apply.
