Welleby Park, Florida – Welleby Park, a popular community hub located at 11100 NW 44th Street, is set to receive an exciting upgrade that will improve the experience for residents and park visitors alike. Starting on April 14, the train playground will temporarily close to allow for the installation of additional shade structures, bringing much-needed canopy coverage to the area.

The new shade structures are being added to enhance the comfort of visitors, especially during the hot summer months. These additions will provide a more enjoyable outdoor environment, ensuring that families and children can continue to enjoy the park’s playgrounds without being exposed to the harsh sun for extended periods.

While the train playground undergoes these improvements, other areas of Welleby Park will remain accessible. Visitors can still enjoy the splash pad, Safety Town, pavilions, and the other playground structures located to the southeast of the train area. This means that park-goers will have plenty of alternatives to explore and enjoy during the brief closure.

The installation of these shade structures is part of an ongoing effort to improve the park’s amenities and ensure that Welleby Park remains a welcoming space for everyone in the community. The decision to add more canopy coverage reflects the city’s commitment to providing quality outdoor spaces that promote recreation, social interaction, and overall well-being.
