City of Pembroke Pines celebrates the 15th Annual National Kids to Parks Day with free tennis and swimming activities for local children and families

Pembroke Pines, Florida – The City of Pembroke Pines is gearing up for the 15th Annual National Kids to Parks Day, inviting children and families to enjoy a day filled with fun and outdoor activities. On Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 9 AM to Noon, the city will host a range of free events designed to encourage young residents to explore the outdoors and stay active. The celebration will include free tennis and swimming activities, and is set to take place at multiple parks across Pembroke Pines.

The tennis activities will be held at the Pembroke Lakes Tennis Center, located at 10500 Taft Street, providing a fun and accessible opportunity for children to pick up the sport and enjoy friendly matches. Whether they are beginners or seasoned players, the event promises to offer something for everyone. Meanwhile, free swimming sessions will take place at three of the city’s popular pools: Towngate Pool at 901 NW 155th Ave, Rose Price Park Pool at 901 NW 208th Ave, and Pembroke Lakes Pool, located at the same address as the tennis center. These pools will provide a refreshing escape for children looking to beat the heat while engaging in water-based fun.
