Pompano Beach to celebrate grand opening of new techrec gaming center and renovated pickleball courts at Mitchell/Moore Park

Pompano Beach, Florida – The City of Pompano Beach is celebrating the grand opening of exciting new recreational additions at Mitchell/Moore Park, located at 901 NW 10th Street. On Wednesday, May 28th at 10:00 a.m., the Parks and Recreation Department will hold ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the brand-new TechRec gaming center and the freshly renovated pickleball courts.

These new facilities are part of the city’s ongoing efforts to create spaces that are inclusive, engaging, and promote active lifestyles for people of all ages. The TechRec Center is especially designed for youth and teens, offering a place to explore digital recreation and esports. The center will not only introduce the younger generation to the world of gaming but also encourage teamwork and strategic thinking through its carefully curated programs.

“We’re excited to offer a space where young people can learn and grow while having fun in a digital environment,” said a spokesperson from the Parks and Recreation Department. The TechRec Center is sure to be a hit with its high-tech gaming setups, fostering creativity and collaboration in a fun, modern atmosphere.
