One of the most anticipated performances of the month is The Australian Pink Floyd Show, celebrating its 50th Anniversary Tour. This iconic tribute band will perform at the Au-Rene Theater on Saturday, September 6 at 8 p.m., as part of the Cleveland Clinic Rock Series. The Australian Pink Floyd Show is renowned for its flawless live performances that closely mirror the legendary Pink Floyd sound, combining state-of-the-art lighting, video projections, lasers, and massive inflatables that are sure to transport fans into the world of Pink Floyd’s mesmerizing productions. Presented by Voss Events in collaboration with World of Wonder and MTV, this performance will take guests behind the velvet ropes of the most exclusive awards show in “herstory.” Hosted by the fierce and funny Jimbo as Joan Rivers, the event will feature a dazzling lineup of drag royalty, including performances by Daya Betty as Pink, Derrick Barry as Britney Spears, Jaida Essence Hall as Beyoncé, Jorgeous as Ariana Grande, Naomi Smalls as Mariah Carey, and Vanessa Vanjie as Rihanna. The audience will be treated to high-energy performances, glittering costumes, and jaw-dropping surprises as drag superstars come together to put on a show like no other. As a heads-up, the show contains adult content and is for ages 18 and up, with a valid ID required at the door.

Next up is a celebration of Brazilian music history, Jair Oliveira, Luciana Mello & Guests: 60 Years of Dois na Bossa. On Saturday, September 13 at 8 p.m., the Amaturo Theater will come alive with the soulful sounds of Brazilian Jazz as Jair Oliveira and his guest, Luciana Mello, pay tribute to the groundbreaking 1965 live album Dois na Bossa by Elis Regina and Jair Rodrigues. This legendary album revolutionized Brazilian music, and its influence continues to reverberate across generations. The tribute will feature Bossa-Nova classics like “O Morro Não Tem Vez,” “Arrastão,” “Eu Sei Que Vou Te Amar,” and “Menino das Laranjas.” Jair Oliveira, a celebrated Brazilian singer, songwriter, arranger, and producer, joins forces with Mello, a Latin Grammy-nominated artist, to honor the iconic collaboration that shaped Brazilian musical culture. The performance promises to be a heartfelt homage to a timeless piece of music history.

For those looking to indulge in a more refined experience, the Broward Center will host a Wine Tasting with Master Sommelier George Miliotes on Sunday, September 14 at 1:30 p.m. at Marti’s New River Bistro. Whether you’re a seasoned wine connoisseur or a newcomer to the world of wine, this interactive tasting experience will engage your senses like never before. Miliotes, one of only 279 master sommeliers in the world, will guide guests through a blind wine tasting that explores an impressive selection of six wines—three reds and three whites. Attendees will not only taste the wines but also learn the art of blind tasting, gaining insights into what makes each wine unique. Alongside the wines, a shareable charcuterie board will be provided to complement the flavors. Miliotes’ vast expertise in the world of wine comes from his extensive travels to wine-growing regions around the globe, and his passion for educating others about wine shines through in his engaging, informative approach. Note that attendees must be 21 or older to participate in this experience.

On Wednesday, September 17 at 8 p.m., the legendary Soweto Gospel Choir will bring its iconic freedom songs, traditional spirituals, and South African classics to the Broward Center’s stage. With its Grammy and Emmy-winning performances, the Soweto Gospel Choir’s PEACE concert promises to be a spiritual and uplifting experience. The choir’s powerful harmonies and vibrant performances have garnered international acclaim, and their show at the Broward Center will undoubtedly be another unforgettable night of music that celebrates unity, hope, and joy.
