Barrage of bullets fired at Pompano Beach home sparks police investigation and search for suspects

Pompano Beach, Florida – Pompano Beach authorities are seeking the public’s help after a violent drive-by shooting targeted a local residence early Wednesday morning. The incident, which occurred near the 1300 block of Northwest 27th Avenue, sent shockwaves through the neighborhood and prompted an immediate response from law enforcement.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO), the shooting was reported at approximately 3:30 a.m., when Broward County Regional Communications received multiple calls of gunfire in the area. Deputies from the BSO Pompano Beach district quickly arrived on the scene and confirmed that unknown subjects had fired a barrage of bullets into a home.
Surveillance footage captured a light-colored vehicle approaching the residence. The vehicle briefly drove past the home before reversing back into view. Two individuals armed with firearms then exited the car and discharged more than a dozen rounds into the property. After the attack, the suspects fled the scene, leaving investigators searching for leads.
Remarkably, no injuries were reported during the shooting, though the sheer volume of bullets fired caused concern among neighbors and local authorities. The BSO Violent Crimes Unit has taken the lead on the investigation, emphasizing the need for community assistance in identifying those responsible.
“This was a deliberate and dangerous act, and we are urging anyone with information to come forward,” said BSO Violent Crimes Detective Lisa Almanza-Londono. Residents who may have witnessed the incident or have knowledge of the suspects are encouraged to contact her directly at 754-333-0693. Tips can also be submitted through the SaferWatch app, allowing individuals to share information quickly and securely.

Authorities continue to canvass the neighborhood and review additional surveillance footage to track down the suspects. While the investigation is ongoing, BSO officials are reminding residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity in the area.
Neighbors described the early morning gunfire as alarming, with many expressing relief that no one was hurt. The incident highlights ongoing safety concerns in the community and underscores the importance of public cooperation in solving violent crimes.
