Pompano Beach, Florida – Authorities are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and another injured Saturday afternoon in Pompano Beach, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO).

Shortly before 2 p.m. on October 4, Broward County Regional Communications received multiple reports of gunfire in the 1600 block of Northwest 10th Circle. Deputies rushed to the scene alongside Pompano Beach Fire Rescue and discovered two adult men suffering from gunshot wounds.

Emergency crews provided immediate aid before both victims were taken to a nearby hospital. Despite the efforts of medical staff, one of the men did not survive his injuries. The second victim remains hospitalized, though officials have not released details on his condition.

Investigators from the BSO Homicide and Crime Scene units arrived shortly after to begin processing evidence and interviewing witnesses. The area remained cordoned off for several hours as detectives examined the scene and searched for potential surveillance footage.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been made public, pending notification of family members. No information has been released about a suspect or possible motive at this time.
