On October 8, 2025, the Mayor and City Commissioners officially unveiled the city’s new entryway signs, marking a milestone in Oakland Park’s ongoing effort to enhance its identity and public spaces. The first sign now stands prominently along Dixie Highway, just south of Oakland Park Boulevard on the right northbound side, creating a bold and welcoming first impression for all who enter the city.

A second sign has been installed along NW 44th Street, just west of NW 31 Avenue, ensuring that Oakland Park’s signature aesthetic extends to multiple key gateways. These entryway markers are not simply functional—they are a visual celebration of the city’s creativity, spirit, and vision. Designed in-house by a talented city employee, the signs reflect both the community’s pride and its commitment to thoughtful design.
