Coconut Creek, Florida – Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) marked another milestone in educational innovation with the second annual Technology, Innovation, Ethics and Support (T.I.E.S.) Expo, held on Saturday, October 18, at Monarch High School. The event, running from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., brought together educators, district leaders, and technology partners for a day of immersive learning, hands-on experiences, and forward-thinking discussions about the future of teaching.

The T.I.E.S. Expo, the District’s premier showcase of educational technology and innovation, is designed to prepare teachers and administrators for the rapidly evolving classroom environment of the 22nd century. More than 300 education professionals attended this year’s event, exploring cutting-edge ideas, new tools, and interactive learning labs that highlight how technology is reshaping instruction across Broward County.

“Events like the T.I.E.S. Expo provide educators with opportunities to see what’s possible when innovation meets instruction,” said a BCPS spokesperson. “We are equipping our teachers with the skills and resources they need to create dynamic learning experiences for every student.”

Attendees were able to participate in a variety of activities, including panel discussions featuring distinguished leaders in both education and technology, teacher training sessions on artificial intelligence-infused tools, and demonstrations of emerging classroom technologies. The expo offered a unique environment where educators could ask questions, exchange ideas, and gain practical insights on integrating technology effectively into lesson plans.

The event also included a vendor showcase, allowing participants to interact with companies at the forefront of educational technology. From interactive whiteboards and virtual reality applications to adaptive learning software and AI-driven classroom solutions, the expo provided a glimpse into the tools that will define future learning spaces.

“More than 300 education professionals will explore groundbreaking ideas, participate in hands-on activities and take part in visionary discussions centered on shaping the 22nd-Century classroom,” said the BCPS announcement. The day-long program emphasized collaboration, creativity, and forward-thinking, encouraging educators to consider new strategies for student engagement and academic growth.

In addition to technology demonstrations, the T.I.E.S. Expo focused on ethics in education, ensuring that new tools and innovations are implemented responsibly and with students’ best interests in mind. Workshops addressed challenges such as data privacy, digital citizenship, and equitable access to learning technologies.

The BCPS Innovative Learning Department, together with Education and Technology Partners, organized the event to foster a culture of curiosity and continuous professional development. By providing hands-on experiences and networking opportunities, the expo helps teachers and administrators translate emerging technologies into meaningful classroom practices.
