Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Families and visitors planning to attend the Winterfest Family Fun Day on Sunday, November 23, 2025, are being advised to prepare for traffic adjustments in the downtown area. The popular annual event, which will be held at Esplanade Park, is expected to draw large crowds for a day of seasonal activities and community celebrations.

Officials announced that a traffic advisory will be in effect throughout the day, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., to accommodate both event attendees and public safety measures. According to city guidelines, SW 2nd Street will be closed between SW 4th Avenue and SW 5th Avenue. Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time to reach their destinations.

Event organizers noted that congestion in the surrounding streets is likely, particularly during peak hours when families arrive or depart from the festivities. Those traveling through the area are urged to use caution and follow posted detour signs.

“This event brings the community together to celebrate the season, and our goal is to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience,” said a Winterfest spokesperson. “We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation as traffic adjustments are put in place for the day.”

Winterfest Family Fun Day offers a variety of activities for children and adults, including games, live entertainment, food vendors, and holiday-themed attractions. Organizers anticipate that the event will attract residents from across Fort Lauderdale and neighboring communities, making early planning and consideration of alternative travel routes essential.

For attendees seeking additional details, organizers recommend visiting the official website at www.winterfestparade.com/events/family-fun-day, where updates regarding parking, street closures, and event schedules will be posted. The site also provides tips for families to navigate the park and surrounding areas safely.

By planning ahead and staying informed, both visitors and local residents can enjoy a smooth experience while participating in the Winterfest Family Fun Day celebrations.
