Florida Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia urges an end to liberal legal attacks targeting the Trump Presidential Library

Tallahassee, Florida – Florida Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia is taking a strong stance in defense of the Donald J. Trump Presidential Library after his office filed an Amicus Curiae brief in support of the state’s ongoing legal efforts. The brief, submitted on behalf of Miami-Dade College, addresses what Ingoglia described as a politically motivated lawsuit challenging the land conveyance for the Trump Library.

“The frivolous lawsuit filed against the Donald J. Trump Presidential Library land conveyance is a blatant political attack against our President and a weaponization of Florida’s court system,” Ingoglia said. He emphasized that the legal challenge threatens the financial interests of the state, its taxpayers, and Miami-Dade College, which will host the library.

The Amicus Curiae brief, often used to provide additional perspective to the court from a party not directly involved in the case, seeks to ensure that Florida’s operational and financial interests are fully represented. Ingoglia stressed that the brief is intended to defend the state’s position and prevent activists from obstructing the project for political reasons.

“We filed an Amicus Curiae brief in support of Miami-Dade College, and to ensure that the state of Florida’s operational and financial interests are properly represented to the court in this case,” Ingoglia said. “We will not allow political activists to use the system as an attempt to prevent students, Floridians and international visitors from learning about the historic accomplishments of our great president.”

The Donald J. Trump Presidential Library, once completed, is expected to serve as both an educational center and a tourist attraction, highlighting the life and career of the former president. Supporters argue that it will provide opportunities for students, researchers, and visitors to engage with historical artifacts and educational programs while contributing to local economic development.

Critics of the project, however, have raised concerns about the land transfer process, claiming procedural issues or potential political favoritism. Ingoglia and other supporters dismiss these claims as “frivolous” and insist that the lawsuit represents an inappropriate use of Florida’s judicial system for political purposes.
