Orlando, Florida – In a unique blend of education and excitement, the Florida Lottery teamed up with ESPN Productions, Inc., through the Orlando Sports Foundation, to host Bright Futures Night at the Cure Bowl. The event provided a large-scale, interactive educational experience aimed at connecting students and their families with valuable information about the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program.

Approximately 2,000 middle and high school students from across the region attended the event, many of whom were transported from surrounding communities to participate. The initiative was designed to do more than simply inform students about scholarships; it aimed to inspire them to begin thinking about their college futures and the steps needed to achieve higher education goals.

During the program, participants received in-depth guidance on the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program, including eligibility requirements, available resources, and details on the application process. By delivering this information in an engaging, high-energy environment, organizers hoped to make the prospect of college tangible and attainable for students who may be encountering these opportunities for the first time.

The event also highlighted the Florida Lottery’s ongoing commitment to supporting education and expanding access to higher education opportunities across the state. By collaborating with ESPN Productions and the Orlando Sports Foundation, the Lottery was able to reach a diverse audience, ensuring that scholarship information was accessible to students from a wide range of communities.

Students not only learned about the financial benefits of the Bright Futures Scholarship Program, but they were also introduced to strategies for early college planning. Organizers emphasized that understanding deadlines, maintaining eligibility, and seeking guidance are critical steps in the process, and Bright Futures Night offered a fun, interactive way to communicate these key points.

Beyond the educational aspect, the event gave students a memorable experience within a high-energy, sports-centered environment. The excitement of the Cure Bowl helped keep students engaged and attentive, creating a unique atmosphere where learning and entertainment intersected. This approach reinforced the Lottery’s strategy of using innovative methods to promote education while connecting with young audiences in meaningful ways.
