Pembroke Pines invites families to enjoy free Splash in the Pines water activities before the new school year begins

Pembroke Pines, Florida – Families in Pembroke Pines will have the chance to enjoy a day of summer fun before the start of the new school year during the city’s upcoming Splash in the Pines event. The free community celebration will bring water games, activities and entertainment to children and families on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at West Pines Soccer Park, located at 350 SW 196 Avenue in Pembroke Pines. Organizers are inviting residents and visitors to cool off and enjoy a variety of water-themed activities during the final weekend before school begins.

Splash in the Pines is planned as a fun-filled day featuring water games, water play areas, foam party slides and other surprises for children of all ages. The event is designed to provide families with an opportunity to spend time together outdoors while enjoying free entertainment during the summer break.

In addition to the water activities, attendees can expect giveaways and special surprises throughout the event. The city encourages families to come prepared for a day of outdoor fun and make the most of the final days of summer vacation.

The event is sponsored by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital as part of its support for community programs that promote family activities and healthy recreation.
