Pompano Beach, Florida – The City of Pompano Beach is preparing to make this year’s 4th of July an unforgettable experience. The highly anticipated Fireworks Spectacular, sponsored by Harrah’s Casino, will light up the night sky over the beach, bringing an evening of entertainment, music, and fun for everyone. Set to take place on Friday, July 4th, the celebration promises to be one of the most exciting events of the summer.

The festivities will be centered at the main beach, right by the iconic Fisher Family Pier at 222 N. Pompano Beach Boulevard. Starting at 5:00 p.m., the event will be hosted by Drew from Y100, with live music, a lively atmosphere, and, of course, an amazing fireworks display to close out the night. Whether you’re a Pompano Beach local or a visitor, this event is one that you won’t want to miss.

An Evening of Music and Entertainment

To kick things off, DJ Mike Cooley will take the stage at 5:00 p.m., setting the tone for an energetic evening of music. As the night continues, the music lineup heats up, with live bands bringing their own unique sounds to the crowd.

At 5:30 p.m., Shadow Creek will take the stage, offering a blend of classic rock and current hits, perfect for getting everyone in the celebration spirit. Following their set, at 7:00 p.m., the Stereo FM Band will keep the energy high with their high-energy performance, sure to get people on their feet and dancing to the beat.

Then, at approximately 9:00 p.m., the real showstopper will begin. As the final musical acts wrap up, the skies will light up with a breathtaking fireworks display over the ocean. The fireworks will create a stunning visual spectacle, filling the night with color and excitement.

Important Information for Attendees

As with any major event, there are a few important things to keep in mind for a smooth and safe experience. For safety reasons, personal fireworks, glass containers, alcohol, drones, and pets are strictly prohibited at the event. The Fisher Family Pier will also be closed on July 4th but will reopen during regular hours on July 5th.

If you’re planning to drive, parking is available at the end of Atlantic Blvd and A1A, including street parking and the pier garage. However, please note that parking in the pier garage will be $20 (cash only, no refunds). For those who prefer to avoid the parking hassle, there are several alternatives to get to the event with ease.

Skip the Hassle and Ride in Style

To make your journey easier, there are several options for transportation to and from the event. Ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are available, with drop-off and pick-up points located west of the Intracoastal Bridge. Be prepared for a short walk to the waterfront, but this will give you a chance to enjoy the area before the festivities begin.

For those looking for a more scenic and relaxing way to get to the event, the Water Taxi is an excellent choice. Cruise along the Intracoastal Waterway and hop off at key waterfront stops, offering a leisurely trip to the celebration. The Water Taxi is offering a special $25 rate for the 4th of July, so be sure to check the schedule in advance.

Another convenient and eco-friendly option is Circuit, the city’s on-demand electric shuttle. The service is perfect for short trips around the beach area and is available via the “Ride Circuit” app. As this service may get busy during peak times, it’s a good idea to plan ahead.

To make things even easier, the city has launched a new webpage with all the information you need on these transportation options. This way, you can focus on enjoying the event rather than worrying about logistics.

A Night to Remember

Whether you’re a long-time resident of Pompano Beach or a visitor, the 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular is the perfect way to celebrate Independence Day. With live music, an amazing fireworks display, and great transportation options, the event is shaping up to be one of the brightest nights of the year. So, grab your family, friends, beach blankets, and lawn chairs, and come join in the fun!

As Mayor of Pompano Beach, Rex Hardin, says, “This is a project that the voters supported through the Go Bond initiative because it is essential for the future of our City.” While construction on McNab Road may be causing temporary disruptions, the city is committed to minimizing impacts while providing a fantastic experience for all attendees at the fireworks show.

Pompano Beach is excited to welcome you to what promises to be a spectacular 4th of July celebration, and we look forward to seeing you there! For more information on the event, including transportation options and event details, visit the official 4th of July event page.

Happy 4th, Pompano Beach! Let’s make it a blast!
