Pembroke Pines, Florida – The City of Pembroke Pines is gearing up for its second annual Hispanic Heritage Festival, an event that promises to be a vibrant celebration of Latin culture. Set to take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 5 to 9 PM at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, this festival will offer something for everyone, from live music and dancing to traditional foods and cultural performances. It’s a free event, welcoming all ages to enjoy a lively and fun-filled evening.

Supported by the Broward County Cultural Division, the festival will provide a unique opportunity to celebrate Hispanic Heritage while enjoying an array of activities. One of the major highlights of the evening will be the El Escenario stage, sponsored by Baptist Health, which will feature incredible live salsa performances. Music lovers can look forward to performances by salsa legends Frankie Ruiz Jr. (also known as “Hijo de la Salsa”), Melina Almodóvar, the iconic “La Muñeca de la Salsa,” and Cachi y Saoco Nuevo Band, known for their Salsa Dura and Latin Groove beats. Expect a night full of dancing and energy, as the beats of salsa fill the air and showcase the vibrant rhythm of Hispanic culture.

For those looking for a more relaxed experience, the event offers a cozy spot called Abuela’s House, sponsored by Publix. Here, guests can enjoy free coffee, mini sandwiches, and lemonade while strolling through a beautiful flower garden walk-through. This spot is perfect for those wanting to take a break from the music and soak in the festival’s serene side.

It’s a perfect place for those wanting to experience the diversity of Hispanic culture in a lively and interactive way.

Families can head over to El Patio, where they’ll find a variety of fun activities suitable for all ages. Kids can meet Maribel and Bruno from the hit movie Encanto, enjoy traditional Hispanic backyard games like fútbol, and even participate in a piñata party photo area for some picture-perfect moments.

For a laid-back vibe, the La Cueva area, sponsored by Acionados Premium Cigars, will offer a relaxed space for Abuelos and Papás. Guests can watch a live cigar roller, sit down at classic domino tables, and enjoy a few rounds of cards, all while appreciating the rich tradition of cigars and games within Hispanic communities.

For those interested in creating something special, the Cartas y Corazones crafting corner will offer the opportunity to write Spanish notes to friends and family, celebrating the power of love, language, and tradition. It’s an activity that will leave everyone with something meaningful to take home.

The festival also boasts a lively marketplace called El Mercado, where attendees can browse vibrant vendors offering everything from jewelry and art to clothing and specialty items. And, of course, no Hispanic festival is complete without delicious food. The Mercado will feature authentic Hispanic dishes and desserts from across Latin America, providing a true taste of the diverse culinary traditions that shape Hispanic culture.
