MD Now Urgent Care becomes the title sponsor for Slow Burn Theatre Company’s 2025 2026 season bringing hit musicals to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts

Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Fort Lauderdale is preparing for what promises to be a truly spectacular season of musical theater as Slow Burn Theatre Company announces that MD Now® Urgent Care will serve as the title sponsor for its 2025/2026 season at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. With five acclaimed productions scheduled for the Amaturo Theater, the upcoming season is being hailed as the company’s boldest and most ambitious to date, bringing world-class musicals to South Florida audiences while nurturing local artistic talent.

Slow Burn Theatre Company comes off an extraordinary 2024 season, which celebrated the company’s 15th anniversary and its 10th season at the Broward Center. The previous season also earned 28 nominations and six wins at the 2024 Carbonell Awards, including Outstanding Production of a Musical for Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” and Outstanding Direction of a Musical for Fitzwater. The momentum from last season sets the stage for what many are already calling a landmark year in regional theater.

The 2025/2026 season is a vibrant celebration of music, heart, and the unyielding spirit of determination, showcasing five musicals that span genres and stories. The season kicks off with “Catch Me If You Can,” based on the hit DreamWorks motion picture, running from October 11 to 26. Audiences will then be transported to a winter wonderland with Disney’s “Frozen,” running December 13 to January 4, a holiday treat sure to enchant families and theatergoers alike.

The new year brings “Beautiful, The Carole King Musical,” running February 14 to March 1. This production promises an emotionally resonant story perfectly timed for Valentine’s Day audiences, celebrating the legendary music and life of Carole King. Springtime in Fort Lauderdale will heat up with “Hairspray” from April 11 to 26, a Tony Award-winning musical that is guaranteed to bring energy, laughter, and heart to the stage. Finally, the season concludes with the highly anticipated “Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill: The Musical,” running June 13 to 28, a raw and thought-provoking production recognized with multiple Tony Awards, Drama Desk Awards, Outer Critics Circle Awards, and a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.

The lineup reflects Slow Burn’s commitment to presenting productions that are both critically acclaimed and widely beloved, appealing to a diverse audience while fostering the growth of professional theatrical talent in South Florida. “This season is about music, storytelling, and unforgettable experiences,” Fitzwater said. “We want every audience member to leave feeling inspired, moved, and thoroughly entertained.”

Tickets and subscriptions to the five-show season are currently on sale, offering the public an opportunity to secure their seats for a full season of theatrical excellence. The MD Now® Slow Burn Theatre Co. 2025/2026 Season is presented by United Community Bank, with major support from the Broward County Cultural Division, the Cultural Council of Broward County, and the Broward County Board of County Commissioners.
