Broward County families can explore science and aviation at the 2025 fall STEM fest with The Flying Classroom

Broward County, Florida – Broward County is gearing up for an exciting day of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics as Broward County Public Schools (BCPS), in partnership with The Flying Classroom, hosts the 2025 Fall STEM Fest. This family-friendly event, scheduled for Saturday, October 25, promises to be a celebration of curiosity, discovery, and the boundless possibilities that STEM education can offer.

The festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Emil Buehler Aviation Institute at Broward College in Pembroke Pines. Located at 7200 Pines Blvd., Building 99, the venue will open its doors to students, families, and community members eager to explore the world of aviation and STEM in a fun, interactive setting. Entry to the event is free, ensuring accessibility for the entire community.

Attendees will have the rare opportunity to meet Captain Barrington Irving of The Flying Classroom, an internationally recognized aviator and educator who has inspired students worldwide through his record-breaking flights and educational adventures. “This event is about sparking curiosity and showing students that science and technology are not just subjects in school—they are gateways to adventure and innovation,” said organizers, highlighting the hands-on nature of the activities planned.
