Oakland Park, Florida The City of Oakland Park is celebrating the generosity and creativity of donors who participated in the 2025 Holiday Village Holiday Tree Decorating Competition, an initiative that brought joy and festive spirit to local families. Thanks to these generous contributions, the City partnered with Light of the World Clinic to provide 15 beautifully decorated holiday trees to families in need, ensuring the season was brighter and more magical for members of the community.

The Holiday Village initiative is a cornerstone of Oakland Park’s seasonal celebrations, combining community engagement with charitable giving. Each year, sponsors and local businesses decorate trees that are then delivered to families, spreading holiday cheer and making a meaningful difference in the lives of residents who may be facing challenges. This year, the event highlighted the creativity, generosity, and collaborative spirit that makes Oakland Park a special place to live, work, and play.

A heartfelt acknowledgment goes out to Adamo Auto Repair, which has played a pivotal role in the success of the event for the past five years. The company has generously assisted with Sunday morning deliveries, ensuring that each tree reached its destination safely and on time before the holidays. “Your continued support behind the scenes helps make the magic happen for local families, and we genuinely appreciate your time, partnership, and community spirit,” the City noted.

Traditional Tree Sponsors were Beans-n-Dough Cookie Company, Allied Kitchen & Bath, Trim to the Top, Elite Home Staging, and State Contracting & Engineering Corporation. Meanwhile, Children’s Tree Sponsors featured ARS Countertops, Blondies Beauty Salon, La Empanada Loca, Sal’s Towing, and El Guanaco. Each sponsor brought unique flair and personality to their tree, making the competition vibrant and visually delightful.

The competition also recognized the exceptional creativity of participating businesses and organizations with several awards. Beans-n-Dough Cookie Company won the Traditional Tree category, Sal’s Towing took first place for the Children’s Tree, and the Oakland Park Art & Culture Board was recognized for the Florida Tree category. Additionally, the People’s Choice award went to La Empanada Loca, reflecting community appreciation for their festive and imaginative decoration.

“Thanks to your generous support, we were able to spread holiday cheer throughout Oakland Park,” the City said. “The beautiful creativity and decorations brought joy to families in need and reminded everyone of the power of community spirit during the holiday season.” The initiative not only brightens homes but also strengthens the bonds between local businesses, community organizations, and residents.
