Broward County Public Schools shares new programs, resources, and back-to-school updates for the 2026/27 school year
Broward County , Florida – As the start of the 2026/27 academic year approaches, Broward County Public Schools is preparing to welcome thousands of students back to classrooms with new resources, updated information, and a variety of tools designed to help families get ready for the first day of school.
Students across the district are scheduled to return to class on Monday, August 10, 2026, while teachers, school administrators, and support staff continue final preparations to ensure campuses are ready for a successful year of learning.
To help families stay informed, the district has introduced its “What’s New in 2026/27” online resource. The webpage highlights the latest updates and initiatives for the upcoming school year, giving parents and students an easy way to learn about new programs, services, and district-wide changes before classes begin.
In addition to showcasing new developments, Broward County Public Schools has refreshed its back-to-school information hub, offering families a single place to find important details needed before students return to campus.

The online resource includes guidance on student registration, required immunizations, transportation services, school bus information, and daily bell schedules. Families can also find instructions for accessing Focus, the district’s Student Information System, which allows parents and students to review academic information and stay connected throughout the school year.
The website also provides information about volunteer opportunities for parents and community members who want to become involved in local schools. Details on the district’s one-to-one laptop initiative are also available, helping students understand how they can access the technology needed to support classroom instruction and learning at home.
District officials say the goal is to make the transition into the new school year as smooth as possible by placing essential information in one convenient location. By offering easy access to registration requirements, transportation updates, and digital learning resources, the district hopes families can complete important back-to-school tasks well before the first day of classes.

With classrooms nearly ready and preparations entering the final stages, Broward County Public Schools is looking ahead to another year of learning, growth, and student success. District leaders say they are eager to welcome students back on August 10 and begin a school year filled with new opportunities for education, engagement, and achievement across the district.
