BCPS launches new resource hub to help Broward families understand how artificial intelligence is being introduced across local schools

Broward County, Florida – Broward County Public Schools has launched a new online resource designed to help families, students, teachers and the wider community understand how artificial intelligence is being introduced across the school district.

The new website, called Broward Powered by AI, brings information about the district’s use of artificial intelligence into one central location. As AI becomes a bigger part of education and everyday school operations, BCPS said the resource is intended to make it easier for the public to follow the changes and understand how the technology is being used.

The site explains the district’s approach to using AI responsibly in several areas, including teaching and learning, school operations and student support. It also provides information about the steps BCPS has taken as it works to bring the technology into its schools.

For families who may have questions about AI in the classroom, the new hub offers a collection of resources and answers to frequently asked questions. Visitors can also find information about tools that have been approved by the district, along with updates about implementation plans and important milestones.

“We understand that introducing a new technology can raise questions and concerns among District stakeholders,” said BCPS Superintendent Dr. Howard Hepburn. “Broward Powered by AI allows us to address those concerns by providing one source for answers, resources and information about why and how BCPS is adopting artificial intelligence.”

The district said communication with the community is an important part of the new resource. In addition to providing information, the website gives students, parents, staff members and other community members an opportunity to submit questions, concerns and feedback about the use of artificial intelligence in BCPS.

The resource will also include information about upcoming events connected to AI. Implementation updates, timelines and other developments are expected to be added as the district continues its work.

The launch comes as schools and education systems across the country continue to consider how artificial intelligence can be used while also addressing questions about responsible use.
