Bonaventure Boulevard paving work begins June 7

Weston, Florida – The City of Weston has begun work on a key roadway improvement effort aimed at upgrading one of its main traffic corridors. The Bonaventure Boulevard Milling and Resurfacing Project officially gets underway on June 7, 2026, marking the start of several weeks of nighttime construction designed to improve driving conditions and extend the lifespan of the road.

The project focuses on Bonaventure Boulevard between Griffin Road and Indian Trace, a stretch heavily used by both residents and commuters. Work will take place overnight, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., and is scheduled to continue through July 7, 2026.

City officials say the timing of the work is intentional. By shifting construction to nighttime hours, the city aims to reduce disruptions to daily traffic flow and minimize delays during peak commuting times. Even with nighttime operations, residents may still notice noise and temporary lane shifts in the area.

The scope of the project includes more than just resurfacing the roadway. Crews will also carry out milling of the existing pavement, replacement of road markings, and rehabilitation of sidewalks and curb ramps within the project boundaries.
