UKG appoints Rod Johnson as chief revenue officer to strengthen global expansion strategy and accelerate AI-driven workforce platform growth
Fort Lauderdale, Florida – UKG, a company known for its AI-first Workforce Operating Platform focused on HR, payroll, and workforce management, has announced a major leadership appointment aimed at strengthening its global growth strategy. Rod Johnson officially joined the company as Chief Revenue Officer on June 1, 2026, stepping into a key role as UKG continues expanding its presence across international markets.
In his new position, Johnson will report directly to UKG Chief Executive Officer Jennifer Morgan. His responsibilities will center on leading the company’s global revenue organization and accelerating the adoption of UKG’s AI-powered Workforce Operating Platform, which is designed to help businesses better manage employees, data, and operational performance in real time.
The platform is already widely used, serving approximately 80,000 organizations across 150 countries. UKG’s technology is built to help companies turn workforce data into actionable insights, improve employee experiences, and generate measurable business results. With Johnson now on board, the company aims to push deeper into global markets and expand its influence across industries of all sizes.
Johnson brings with him a long track record in enterprise software and large-scale sales leadership. Before joining UKG, he worked at Oracle, where he most recently served as executive vice president of North America Applications. In that role, he oversaw one of the largest enterprise SaaS portfolios in the industry, managing complex operations and customer relationships across multiple sectors.

His experience also includes leadership roles at Infor, where he previously served as chief revenue officer. Across both companies, Johnson has been responsible for aligning global sales teams, strengthening partnerships, and driving revenue growth in highly competitive and complex markets.
UKG leadership believes his background will be critical as the company enters its next phase of expansion. CEO Jennifer Morgan highlighted his experience in navigating transformation and scaling enterprise organizations.
“Rod knows how to help organizations operate and grow through periods of transformation and change,” said Morgan. “As we continue expanding globally, his experience leading large-scale revenue organizations and building strong customer partnerships will help us move faster, execute with greater focus, and continue gaining market share.”
Johnson’s appointment comes at a time when companies across the world are increasingly focused on using artificial intelligence to improve workforce management. UKG positions itself at the center of this shift, offering tools designed not only to automate administrative tasks but also to improve decision-making and employee engagement.
From scheduling and staffing to compliance and retention, organizations are under pressure to manage labor challenges more efficiently. UKG argues that its platform is uniquely suited to address these needs by combining decades of workforce research with advanced AI capabilities.
For Johnson, joining UKG represents an opportunity to help shape what he describes as the next phase of workforce technology. He emphasized the company’s strong foundation and its potential for global leadership in AI-driven workforce solutions.
“I joined UKG because the company is uniquely positioned to lead the next era of AI for the workforce,” said Johnson. “UKG sits at the center of the labor challenges every organization is trying to solve — from staffing and scheduling to retention, compliance, and employee experience. With 50 years of workforce intelligence and unmatched frontline expertise, UKG can deliver AI that doesn’t just automate tasks, but helps organizations run better while creating more meaningful and empowering experiences for the people doing the work. I’m here to help UKG turn that distinct advantage into a new era of global market leadership.”
As UKG continues to expand its global footprint, the addition of Johnson signals a clear focus on scaling revenue operations and deepening customer relationships. The company’s leadership team sees this move as part of a broader effort to strengthen its position in the competitive enterprise software market while continuing to innovate in workforce technology.
With a growing customer base, expanding international reach, and increased demand for AI-powered workforce tools, UKG appears to be positioning itself for a new stage of growth — one that relies heavily on leadership experience, global sales execution, and continued investment in intelligent workforce solutions.
