Pompano Beach City Commission to hold budget workshop focused on Fiscal Year 2027 financial planning
Pompano Beach, Florida – The Pompano Beach City Commission is preparing to take an important early step in the city’s budgeting process with a public workshop focused on financial planning for the upcoming fiscal year.
City officials announced that a Budget Workshop will be held on Tuesday, June 23, at 5:00 p.m. in the City Commission Chambers at 100 West Atlantic Boulevard. The meeting is expected to provide commissioners and staff with an opportunity to review preliminary financial projections and begin discussions about priorities for Fiscal Year 2027.
Budget workshops play a key role in shaping the city’s financial roadmap. Before a final budget is adopted, city leaders typically evaluate expected revenues, projected spending needs, and broader policy considerations that may influence future decisions.

During the upcoming session, commissioners will examine early estimates related to the City’s General Fund, which supports many core municipal services. These projections are designed to help officials understand anticipated revenue levels and identify potential expenditures that could affect city operations in the year ahead.
The workshop is also expected to serve as a forum for broader policy discussions. As city leaders review financial forecasts, they will have the opportunity to consider how funding decisions align with community needs, municipal goals, and long-term planning efforts.
While no final budget decisions are expected to be made during the workshop, the meeting will provide an important foundation for future budget deliberations. The information reviewed during the session will help guide the development of the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 budget as city staff continue refining revenue and expenditure estimates.
Municipal budgets influence a wide range of services, from public safety and infrastructure maintenance to parks, recreation programs, and administrative operations. As a result, early budget discussions often attract interest from residents, community organizations, and local stakeholders who want to stay informed about the city’s financial direction.

Residents interested in learning more about the city’s financial outlook for Fiscal Year 2027 will have the opportunity to follow the discussion as commissioners begin examining the numbers and setting the stage for future budget decisions.
