Hollywood, Florida – Starting November 2025, residents and businesses can expect changes to their water, sewer, and stormwater rates, as part of the City’s ongoing efforts to maintain reliable utility services. The updated rates, approved during the FY25 budget process, will be reflected in bills issued November 4, 2025.

City officials emphasize that these annual rate adjustments are necessary to ensure the continued reliability and resiliency of the utility system. The increases will help the City replace aging infrastructure, comply with environmental regulations, and cover rising operational costs related to treatment, energy, and materials. Additionally, the updates support the implementation of citywide stormwater and flood-reduction projects, which are critical to protecting neighborhoods during heavy rains and hurricanes.

“Rate updates are predictable, and tied to the City’s adopted budget,” officials noted, highlighting that the adjustments are part of a planned approach to maintaining essential services. By proactively addressing infrastructure needs, the City aims to avoid unexpected service interruptions and costly emergency repairs. The adjustments are intended to provide a long-term benefit for residents while keeping the utility system functioning efficiently.

Residents who may be concerned about the impact of the new rates are reminded that flexible payment plans are available. Those with questions about their accounts or bills can reach out to the Utility Billing Customer Service Team at 954-921-3938 or email [email protected] for assistance. City officials encourage customers to take advantage of these resources to manage their utility costs effectively.

As bills are issued with the new rates beginning November 4, 2025, residents are encouraged to review their statements carefully and reach out with any questions. These updates reflect the City’s dedication to keeping water, sewer, and stormwater services reliable and compliant with regulatory standards, ensuring that the community is well-prepared for the future.

The City of Hollywood remains committed to transparency and service excellence, ensuring that residents understand the reasons behind rate adjustments and the benefits they provide for the community as a whole.
